New Gisborne Primary School has been allocated $3.1 million for a range of school improvement projects. These projects are due to start in July/August 2020 and are expected to be completed by the end of Term 1, 2021.

 

Planned works include:

• School Oval Upgrade: preparation and installation of artificial surface on most of the oval and adjacent area

• Landscaping along the Ferrier Road and Station Road boundaries

• Provision of two Music Pods for instrumental music, choir and as additional meeting space for visiting professionals

• Updating and modernising storm water drainage around the school

• Improving water tightness of classrooms

• Converting lights around the school to LED

• Improving soundproofing to several classrooms.
